Midyne Spear
As a third generation musician, Midyne began studying piano before she could read, and quickly progressed to violin, guitar, and voice. At age 12, she recorded a series of children's songs with five other young vocalists, and began writing songs in her early teens. In the early 1980s, she studied classical harp at the St. Louis Conservatory of Music and in 1991, discovered the magic of the smaller Celtic harp. Midyne began perfecting her sound in the popular Santa Cruz trio Birdz Uva Feather, and later with Argyle, Curtis & Spear, a metaphysical folk/rock band. Midyne plays a magenta 36-string Camac Electroharpe.
